"Balanced

          but

no Acting"

>> A Conversation with Shanton Yazzie

Wow, so you think that the backing you have been blessed with, even though it might not be on a regular basis,  and the personal mindset you rely on will carry you throughout college athletics?

"Yes, I'm the person I am and I will always be... I keep myself motivated and when I want something I work as hard as I can to get it or accomplish it.  So, yes, I'll carry the mindset that I have now."

Sounds good... lastly, what about college ball... ya know what high school ball is like... BUT what do you expect from college basketball?

"I know that college ball is gonna be a great challenge for me and I expect it to be more intense but I'm ready for anything
."

Well, Truth-Spin, Inc. is glad to be on your side encouraging you and helping you along this path. We're glad to have you, Shanton... sounds like you are ready to prove yourself!

Making it to the "next level" is never
an act... it's real work, requiring real
commitment to a goal.

Truth-Spin, Inc. was able to sit down
with Shanton Yazzie and get his take
on the "balancing act" that was his
high school career... but it was
anything but an "act."

Shanton, how have you managed to keep it all balanced? I mean, with

school & basketball since you were a freshmen... how have you managed to keep everything in check?

"Well, I used basketball to push me in

my education... I love basketball

so much that I did what was required

of me in order to play."

And from family... plenty of backing?

"Yes, and mainly my grandma and my

father pushed me. My father he played

a huge role for me focusing on

becoming a better person, athlete,

and student."
